Slow Food, Good Food, No Strings Attached.
The inspiration behind apron comes from wanting to provide a healthy alternative to fast food by using
fresh, seasonal ingredients. The food is prepared from scratch by two local women with a combined 24
years experience within the food industry.
At apron, the work is done for you. The recipes, which have been passed down from one generation to
the next, have been researched to insure a balance between good health and good taste. The menu
boasts a variety of traditional dishes that continue to be customer favorites. Award-winning chili, hard
to beat BBQ and legendary lasagna are just a few menu items that set apron apart from the average
take out joint.
Apron’s vision also includes culinary classes for children, teens and adults. The classes will be designed
to promote the principles set forth by the Slow Food Movement ranging from vegetarian cuisine for
teens to cooking Venetian cicchetti (small bites) for a crowd.
Apron is passionate about quality over quantity and is proud to be able to make use of the many natural
resources of the Garden State.
